A meeting of international reference

The heritage that makes up Spanish public works and civil engineering infrastructures has its own identity and a value that needs to be defined, recognised and disseminated.

Civil engineers are decisive in the preservation, conservation and rehabilitation of this heritage legacy that coexists in the landscape and represents an opportunity for economic development, tourism and a boost for depopulated Spain.

The International Congress on Public Works Heritage and Civil Engineering is organised by the Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos Canales y Puertos (Spanish Council of Civil Engineers), and its branch in Castilla-La Mancha. Its agenda and visits are aimed at:

  • Civil engineers (roads, canals and ports), civil engineers and professionals from different sectors
  • Researchers, teachers, academics
  • Engineering, construction, maintenance and refurbishment companies
  • Industry associations
  • Technicians and managers of administrations and municipalities in the field of engineering, urban planning, tourism and cultural heritage
  • University students from civil engineering schools and other specialisations
